I love classic Corvette restoration. In fact, I’m going back to school just so I can get a job restoring Corvettes for the rest of my life—and get paid for it.
Corvette earned its “American Muscle” name after the first one was built back in 1953, proving it offered nothing but an adrenaline rush of pure power and speed. Of course, Ford Mustangs are American made too, but Corvettes have blown the roof off of hot rod ratings.
When I first saw a Corvette I thought it wasn’t worth a damn. After seeing that first ‘vette, I started researching some history and saw what real American Muscle was about. I was then convinced I should start building one. Damn, the feeling of working on my first 1976 Corvette was unreal. Yeah, I was nervous, thinking, “Is this Corvette going to turn heads or make them laugh?” Then I let pride shine through and it was time to make my dream come true.
I imagine myself going to a junkyard and finding a classic corvette sitting in the weeds, covered in rust. At first, I’m not interested in it because it’s got weeds growing through it and needs too much work. But then I take another look, further than what my eye can see. I imagine rolling a 1976 corvette stingray off a trailer and into my garage. I imagine working and changing the look of this rust bucket into the everyday hot rod that I dream of. I imagine the joyful feeling that I would get being the one who built this eye catcher, and having the pride to say “I rebuilt this corvette from nothing and now it’s a show stopper”.
And as I day dream of these classic cars, I can imagine what they look like before I’m finished with them. That’s why it’s my future.

I love old cars too. My favorite is the camaro. After reading this blog I want to find an old 69 camaro and fix it to look like it rolled off the show room floor. The one thing that stood out about this blog was this writers passion. Even though he finds an old piece of junk he can see past all of the rust, weeds growing, and flaws. He sees something awesome and new.
Wow!! This is a really nice article to read. It shows how much you really want restorea corvette and how much passion you really have for the cars. Go for your dreams and hopefully they will come true.
